Protein French Toast
Team… meet our version of Protein French Toast 🤩 HOW GOOD DOES IT LOOK 😋 it’s the ultimate high protein breakfast: a delicious, healthy and satisfying way to kickstart your day!

🍴 Serves: 6 to 8 slices of French toast
🍞 Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg white
- 80 ml milk of your choice
- 1 tbsp Tarwi More Than Protein: Pure Lupin
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp maple or agave syrup (optional)
- 6-8 slices of bread (we used Brioche)
- 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil
🥣 Method:
1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and egg whites.
2. Add the milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and the protein powder. Whisk until combined and no more lumps remain.
3. Add 1 tablespoon of butter or coconut oil to a non-stick frying pan set over medium heat.
4. While the butter melts, carefully dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture and then flip to make sure you coat both sides of the bread. Leave the bread in the mixture for about 10-15 seconds.
5. Place the coated bread slices in the hot skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat for all the remaining slices (this should yield about 6 to 8 slices).
6. Serve on a plate and top it with your fruit of choice, yoghurt, and/ or a drizzle of maple syrup.
Note: To make the best protein French Toast, use a thicker type of bread. We used Brioche Bread cut in thick slices, and it works even better when the bread is a few days old. Avoid using bread that’s too thin and flimsy as it may get too soggy and potentially fall apart when you transfer it to the pan.
