π Time : 20 min
π΄ Serves : 8
π Ingredients :
- 2 packages of prepared puff pastry
- Tarwi Chocolate Nut Butter Spread
- 1 egg yolk (whisked)
- powdered sugar
π₯£ Method :
1. Preheat the oven to 180ΒΊC. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll the prepared puff pastries and spread the Tarwi chocolate nut butter evenly over every corner of one of the puff pastry sheets. Gently place the second puff pastry sheet and place on top of the first one.
3. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out a star from one corner of the layered pastry and set aside. Cut the remaining layered pastry into the shape of a Christmas tree with a wide base and trunk. Pull away the excess pastry.
4. Cut branches into the sides of the triangle. Starting at the top, twist each branch away from you, making two turns for each branch.
5. Place the pastry star on top of the tree, securing it with a little beaten egg. Brush the star and tree with the beaten egg.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until risen and golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before carefully transferring to a plate or serving dish and dusting with powdered sugar.
Enjoyyyy! π
